For the 2024 Fall - 2025 Spring season, grade groups are determined by the grade the player is entering in September 2024.

The 2024 Fall - 2025 Spring Travel season registration closes immediately after the tryouts.

The 2024 Fall - 2025 City League registration opens in mid May and closes July 31st.
2025 Spring City League registration opens Oct 1st and closes February 28, 2025.
2025 Spring Travel High School aged registration opens October 1st and closes after the tryouts.
Players that register after the registration period will be put on a waitlist.
The $30 Late Fee is charged after July 15, 2024 for all City League Registrations.
The $30 Late Fee is charged after February 15, 2025 for all City League Registrations.

Family Discount:
$40.00 discount for third sibling registered.
$50.00 discount for fourth sibling and each additional sibling.
*Late fees are not included in the family discount.

If you are new to SportsConnect, you will be asked several questions about name and contact info.

Proof of Age and Grade: All new members to Woburn Youth Soccer must provide their birth certificate or another official document and the front page of their report card or another official School Dept. document to verify their current grade. This only applies to players new to our Program. This does not apply to existing players from our SportsManager system and new to our SportsConnect system. When completing any of the registrations below, please note that you should not enter a birth certificate.

Since Mass Youth Soccer's age ranges include overlap, Grade groups are determined by the player's grade in the fall season of the current year. Please choose the correct group by grade and then confirm that when you select the grade that your player will be in during the soccer season. No child will be placed on a team until payment is made, a birth certificate and report card are received.

5. Once you've added the two documents you want to upload, you may be prompted to enter your name and email address so that the Registrar knows who uploaded the files.

Financial Assistance

Woburn Youth Soccer is committed to making sure all kids who live in Woburn can play soccer regardless of financial situation. If you would like to request financial assistance, please send an e-mail to [email protected] to apply. You will receive a reply containing instructions about proceeding with the application and registration process.

Gender Identity

Although Massachusetts Youth Soccer requires asking that players be identified as either Female or Male, Woburn Youth Soccer supports transgender and gender expansive youth playing soccer on a team. During registration for gender-based teams, please register your child for the gender based league that best aligns with their identity.

Refund Policy
Requests for refunds will be subject to a $30 fee, which covers unrefundable state and regional affiliation fees including insurance, registration processing charges and the cost of the uniform. All requests for refunds are subject to review and will be granted upon approval. Anyone requesting a refund should do so by emailing the Registrar at [email protected]. Late fees are not refundable.

Travel Registration Listing

2024 Fall - 2025 Spring Travel Program

Fall 2024 - Spring 2025 Travel Program is for all eligible players that attend grades 3 through 8 in the 2024-2025 school year. Players are separated by gender and placed on teams based on ability.

For the Fall 2024 - Spring 2025 season, grade groups are determined by the grade the player is entering in September 2024.

Woburn Youth Soccer participates in the Essex County Youth Soccer League. Teams generally practice two evenings a week and play games on Saturdays either home in Woburn or away at any of the cities within the Northeast and the North Shore areas. Fall games typically start the Saturday after Labor Day and spring games typically start the second Saturday in April.

Being selected to play in the WYS Travel Program should be considered an honor, prevents another player from being selected for the team and comes with an implied level of commitment. Both Player and Parent/Guardian should be aware that by accepting placement on the Travel Team, this commitment starts just after Labor Day (2024) and ends at the end of June (2025).

Evaluations are required for players trying out to play Travel and teams are formed and placed into divisions based on the team's composition. Therefore, it is requested that players who register to play Travel soccer follow through with that commitment. There is an impact when players decide not to play after teams are formed since players cannot be easily moved between teams to balance the numbers and teams may be left short on players.

Please note that no one has been placed on a travel team for this upcoming season even if a player is currently on a Travel team or was on a Travel team in a previous year.

All players must attend at least one tryout unless otherwise excused by the Board if they are to be considered for placement on a Travel Team. Attending only one tryout may affect team placement.

In the event that a player cannot attend a tryout, please submit an email to the Registrar or present a written notice at the Check-in time indicating the reason for the absence prior to the start of the tryout. If the Board of Directors finds the excuse acceptable, the player will be eligible for selection. All players that want to be considered for selection to a Travel Team must make the tryouts injured or not, unless excused by the Board through the process referenced above.

The total cost to play on a Grade 4 - 8 Travel team for both the fall and spring season is $260.00. The $260 balance is due to be paid by September 1st after placement on a Travel team.

The total cost to play on a Grade 9 - 12 + PG Travel team for the spring season is $150.00.

Players not selected for a Travel team will be placed on the same City League team they played for the previous season unless they are moving up a Grade group. Players moving up a Grade group will be placed on a new City League team.

The cost to play City League is $170 for both the Fall and Spring seasons.
