Becoming a Referee
The City League referee program is available to all who are 12 years old or older.  It is a great way to contribute to Woburn Youth Soccer, be involved with soccer, and make some money.  City League Referees are eligible to referee City League games only.  Referees will be paid directly from WYS at the Soccer Shack after there game set(s).  Referees will have their own account using their parent/guardian's email address.

Referee Guidelines
All referees officiating at WYS games are expected to:

• Know what to do, where to go, what to wear, and when to be there!
• Be at their assigned field 20 minutes or more prior to a game.
• Wear the referee t-shirt provided, black shorts, socks and cleats or sneakers.
• Get an account on our web site. We will get that set up and provide you with your login credentials.
• Login and enter your availability. You tell us when you can work.  Assignments you receive will fit into that availability.
• Respond to assignment e-mails within two (2) days of receipt and phone calls within one (1) day.  We will assume you are not interested in the games if we do not hear from you within these time frames.
• Review assignments when they are posted on this site as the WYS schedule becomes available.
• If you must cancel an agreed upon assignment, this must be done at least two days prior to the assignment. (Of course illness or other unavoidable situation will waive this requirement.).
